21thirteenApril 2016 - April 2017
From April 2016 through April 2017 I worked as a web developer and designer for the website development startup 21thirteen inc. My responsibilities included coding HTML, CSS, and JS as well as designing graphics and logos, working directly with clients, and putting together many a website.
Working at 21thirteen gave me deep knowledge of Wordpress, email campaigns like Mailchimp, as well as exposure to eCommerce platforms like Woocommerce and Infusionsoft. I had my hand in just about everything there, even vaccuming the rugs and taking out the trash!
MAGIC StudiosApril 2015 - August 2015
My final co-op period had me take on the task of building a website for our project Remy and the Book of Rhymes, an educational andriod game. This was my first project that I took from start to completion, and taught me much. It showed me many things that I neded work on, as well as gae me my first exposure to graphic design, as well as working with responsive principles in mind. You can still see the site here.
Freelance WorkJanuary 2016 - Ongoing
Inbetween my official positions I have used freelancing to keep my skills fresh, as well as to network with the members of my community. This experience has helped me with many of my personal skills, as well as given me the freedom to pick and choose the projects I wanted to do. My past projects include McAloon Law Group, and Minuteman Sportsman's Club. I am currently working on the New Silver Spoon Resturant's website.
My graphic design skills were heavily utilizaed at my previous positions at 21thirteen and MAGIC Studios. Due to NDA, I am unable to show much of that work. My latest designs with the Anthony Andronico campaign for Quincy School Committee have gotten high praise, and have started appearing at fundraising events and all posted over the city. My experience with branding at 21thirteen vastly improved my overall design skills, as well as logo and icon designs specifically.
